Fountains
Twardzik Ching Chor Leng, Vincent Twardzik Ching
Group Exhibition
6 – 15 Dec 2025, 11am – 7pm
"Fountains" serves as a tribute to cancer survivors, shifting its purpose from internal catharsis to a celebration of resilience. It acts as a powerful medium for communication and connection, sparking meaningful dialogue about self-worth and the experience of surviving cancer as a family. Furthermore, it advocates for greater inclusivity of individuals with special needs, raising awareness of the challenges they and their families face. As a tool for education and inspiration, the piece shifts its focus to the audience’s growth, encouraging reflection and understanding.
The show also highlights the exceptional contributions of the VIVA Foundation to pediatric cancer research, both within the region and globally. It serves as a poignant reminder of their vital role in improving the lives of countless children and their families.
The beauty of the piece lies in its intricate design, which draws viewers in with the dynamic flow of colored fluids through tubes, evoking the life-giving pulse of blood through veins. Accompanied by the rhythmic sound of a heartbeat, it creates a visceral connection to the fragility and strength of life, reminiscent of the nurturing environment of the womb. Its abstract nature further sparks curiosity and invites individual interpretation.
Beyond its visual impact, the artwork underscores the communal nature of art, fostering a sense of togetherness and shared goals. The proposed audience engagement emphasizes the desire to collaborate with the community, transforming the piece into a space for interaction, learning, and collective reflection. Through this, it embodies the true power of art to build relationships and inspire action.

Vincent Twardzik Ching is a Canadian artist and permanent resident of Singapore since 2001.
