No, we are not a commercial art gallery. We are a non-profit organisation with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status, and we are committed to arts education, supporting visual practitioners, and advisory work that go beyond what we do with our arts space.
No, Art Outreach’s work is centred around arts education and uplifting the local arts community. While this could include conducting educational programmes that align with social service, our work extends beyond this scope to target a broader network of artists and other stakeholders.
Art Outreach is funded by grants, private and corporate donations, and fees from our art advisory work. Fees go towards supporting our public programmes.
No. While Art Outreach is supported by the National Arts Council’s as a Major Company Scheme recipient since 2013, the grant only covers part of our funding. Art Outreach has never operated as part of the public sector, and will continue as an independent non-profit.
No. Art Outreach’s gallery space is offered for free through our [hearth] programme, and we do not collect rental nor commission fees from exhibitions. Hearth projects also receive a micro-grant from us to help defray their project costs.

Art Outreach welcomes donations to fund our non-profit programmes. You can learn more about how to donate to us here. As a charity with IPC status since 2003, Singapore individual and corporate taxpayers may enjoy a tax deductible of 250% on their donations.
