DESCRIPTION
The inaugural Art Outreach Summit launched during the week of ART SG 2025.
Positioned as a visual arts workshop, the Summit is designed to deliver substantial support to art practitioners, through a faculty of experts who include Alessio Antoniolli (Director, Triangle Network London); Honor Harger (Vice President, ArtScience Museum and Vice President, Attractions Marina Bay Sands), Dr. Sook-kyung Lee (Director, The Whitworth, Manchester; Curator, Japan Pavilion, 60th Venice Biennale 2024) and Dr. Zoé Whitley (Director, Chisenhale Gallery) among others.
Selected on merit and at no cost to participants, the Summit offers a focused programme of portfolio reviews, faculty presentations and breakout discussions on issues shaping the contemporary art landscape. With an emphasis on mentorship, networking and skill development for mid-career practitioners, the 2026 edition brought together a distinguished faculty of international and local institution leaders. Through their guidance, participants gained access to critical expertise drawn from across Africa, Asia, Europe and beyond.
As organiser of the Summit, Art Outreach draws directly on its position as an arts intermediary to address a tangible gap in the professional development landscape for practitioners in Singapore. By removing financial barriers to participation and convening world-class faculty in an intimate, rigorous setting, the Summit reflects Art Outreach's commitment to nurturing the next generation of arts professionals, strengthening the ecology of artistic practice in Singapore, and creating meaningful connections between local practitioners and the global arts community.
