DESCRIPTION
Art Outreach Basecamp is a public symposium designed to complement the Art Outreach Summit 2025 by fostering meaningful dialogue and collaboration within the arts community. Held during Singapore Art Week (SAW), Basecamp provides a platform for artists, patrons, and cultural stakeholders to engage in conversations that strengthen connections and explore the critical role of art in society.
The Art Outreach Basecamp is designed as the public-facing counterpart to the Art Outreach Summit, complementing its mission by fostering inclusive dialogue and engagement during Singapore Art Week. While the Summit provides a professional development platform for emerging and mid-career practitioners, the Basecamp serves as a starting point—much like its name suggests—for wider audiences to explore innovative ideas and collaboration in the arts. Together, the Basecamp and Summit create a holistic programme aimed at strengthening Singapore’s position as a vibrant arts hub.
As organiser of both Basecamp and the Summit, Art Outreach draws on its position as an arts intermediary to convene international practitioners and institutional voices in Singapore, creating meaningful platforms for dialogue that strengthen the city's role in global arts discourse and open access to critical conversations for broader audiences.
