Next Exit
Alvin Tang
Solo Exhibition
25 Apr – 3 May 2026, 11am – 7pm
Eschewing the constraints of linear time, Next Exit unfolds through a series of open-ended thresholds where spaces are defined by twilight scapes and the ghost-hum of fragmented sounds. It is a study of the aftermath - that fleeting state where a sense of place begins to bleed and narratives dissolve into something fluid and unmapped.
Rather than presenting a linear narrative, the exhibition offers a constellation of fragmented moments that remain deliberately open-ended. Through three video works and a series of lightbox installations, they explore how perception, memory, and spatial awareness are continually shaped by what is fleeting, unresolved, or obscured. By foregrounding slippages between presence and absence, coherence and distortion, the exhibition positions viewers not as passive observers but as active participants engaging with the artworks not only through sight and sound, but also through reflection, emotion, and embodied experience.
