Level Up: Art Installation Workshop with John Tung

Do you want to learn how to best install your own artworks? Whether you’re preparing for an exhibition or hanging artworks in a gallery space, this hands-on workshop will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to hang and install your artworks in a professional way.

Learn the basics of art installation including an introduction to and handling of commonly-used tools, demonstrations of drilling into different wall materials, and best practices and techniques for taking measurements and hanging artworks on different systems. These skills form a crucial toolkit for self-organising artists and curators to be able to take on a wider range of showcase opportunities.

Please note you will be asked during the registration to submit a short response on how the workshop will be relevant and useful to your practice, as well as any specific topics you would like to learn about. As spaces are limited, priority will be given to those who will benefit most from the session.
