What does an impactful professional portfolio look like? What do gallerists look out when selecting artists to represent? How and why should an artist secure gallery representation?

Join us in a new series of professional development talks and workshops that focus on providing practical, illuminating and tailored insights to guide practitioners along their journey to a career in the arts.

This inaugural session features Ken Tan, Director of Lehmann Maupin Gallery, who will draw on 15 years of experience of working with artists in museums and galleries across the world, as he shares advice and tips on how gallery-artist relationships work, what qualities gallerists look out for in their artists, and how to build a strong portfolio that puts you in good stead to secure meaningful career opportunities.

The 60-minute presentation will close with a 30-minute Q&A session. Spaces are limited and registration is essential, so register now and share your questions with us. Light refreshments will be provided prior to the talk commencing at 7.30pm.
