About the event
The exhibition observes a routine yet often-overlooked cycle of urban maintenance in Singapore: the
trimming of roadside trees. Reflecting on these tree-trimming rituals as gestures of care and regeneration,
the presentation traces the journey of cut branches, twigs, and leaves – collected, processed by a chipper,
and reduced into mulch, which is returned to the soil to support future growth.
Through moving image and installation, "Cut, Ground" isolates a specific moment with this cycle: the
