About the Facilitator
Mae Anderson is a deeply engaged volunteer within Singapore's non-profit sector and is the Chairman at Art Outreach Singapore. With a commitment that spans two decades, she has been at the helm of the organization, passionately advocating for the power of art in enriching lives.
Established in 2003, Art Outreach Singapore, under Ms. Anderson's leadership, has championed the value of art by curating a year-round roster of accessible and innovative programs tailored to diverse audiences. These encompass educational talks for schools, captivating public art tours, thought-provoking exhibitions, and engaging workshops. The primary goal is to cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation of art and artists within the community. Under her leadership, Art Outreach has expanded its reach and bolstered its networks within the local art ecosystem. The organization empowers practitioners by offering an annual art prize, crucial financial support, professional development opportunities, and an incubatory art space to nurture their creative endeavors.
Ms. Anderson's influence extends beyond Art Outreach as she has served on the Land Transport Authority's Art Review Panel, Singapore's Public Art Trust Advisory and Commissioning Panel, and on Singapore's Venice Biennale Commissioning Panel for the 2019, 2022, and 2024 Biennales. She is currently serving on the advisory panel for 45 Armenian Street. Ms. Anderson is a sought-after speaker in the realms of Art and Philanthropy and has penned numerous insightful articles on philanthropy for local and regional newspapers and financial publications. Her insights have inspired and enlightened audiences on these vital topics.
In her professional capacity, Ms. Anderson serves as the Head of Philanthropy Services, Asia, for BNP Paribas Wealth Management. In this role, she provides expert advice to private wealth clients on their personal and corporate philanthropic strategies. As part of her contributions to developing private banking talents, Ms. Anderson has designed and delivered training on effective communication, presentation skills, and pitching, leveraging her extensive experience in leadership and philanthropy. With a track record of empowering individuals to communicate their ideas effectively, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as a workshop facilitator.
